Launch of the new ACA strategic plan 2017 / 2022


The Agency will be launching its second strategic plan with a Symposium on Thursday 20th  July 2017. The symposium,  themed ‘Take Responsibility! Together We Win the War on Counterfeits’ is intended to send a strong message with a renewed commitment by the Agency in combating counterfeiting. The new Executive Director Mr. Elema Halake, SS takes the mantle at an opportune moment for a transformation role of leading the Agency through the 2nd Strategic Plan 2017/2022. Also to be launched in the forum is the report for a study on ‘East Africa Community Intellectual Property Rights Regime’ done by Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM), close and valued partners of ACA.  Destruction of counterfeit goods


On 21st July 2017 an assortment of goods worth an estimated value of Ksh. 23 M (Kenya shillings Twenty Three Million,) will be destroyed at the EnviroSafe - EPZA grounds in Athi River. These are goods whose cases have been determined recently. ACA wages on with the war and is desirous on ridding our country from counterfeits; and that the ultimate consumer shouldn’t be exposed to counterfeits whether in the market or not. ACA endeavors to continually adopt strategies appropriate for the dynamic nature of counterfeiting.
